This is an unusual offering directed by Patrick Collins at Elegant Angel.  The title and the cover suggest it is all about tickling which sometimes is associated with fetish films that basically just show a few girls tickling each other in various stages of undress for an hour.  Thankfully, this film is not like that.  There is some tickling at the beginning of each scene, usually involving light restraints, but then the action moves on to normal gonzo variety sex.  Interestingly, Patrick Collin's comments on the back cover spend as much time talking about "the truth" as they do tickling.  He writes.. "when you see a girl writhing in orgasm or when girls who are ticklish get tickled, you're seeing the TRUTH."  It appears that Patrick is aiming to capture genuine female emotion in this movie, primarily through tickling and experiencing an orgasm.  I must admit, I've never made a connection between the two before.

A new, original theme song was written for this feature.  It's a fun song that is a cross between Bob Marley and a lounge singer.  

SCENE ONE
Kinky and Flick Shagwell with one guy (Valentino)

This scene was weak and not up to par with the others in this movie.  The girls were not much to look at, the action was lukewarm at best and the camerawork and editing were confusing.  It's easy to see why it was sequenced last.  This one is basically a throwaway.

DVD SPECIFIC COMMENTS

Technical qualities of the disc are good.  The picture was clear and bright however, some of the scenes suffer a little bit from a strange tint.  The lighting is very cool -- i.e. too pink and blue.  I think this has to do with how Elegant Angel lights their scenes in their studio. I would sure like to some more scenes incorporating sunlight, or at the very least, warmer lighting which I feel is more pleasing to the eye.  I did not notice any artifacts or excessive grain, however there is one visual glitch in Chapter three at 4:43.  It appears to be a problem with the source tape.  Sound quality was very good.

The disc layout is simple and uncluttered.  The attractive main menu allows the viewer to play the movie, jump to a chapter or view extras.  Under the extras menu, there's a featurette "Behind the Scenes at Elegant Angel and the Devirginizing of Pearson Butts", five trailers from other EA releases, and a photo gallery with "over 100" shots.  The photo gallery is split up into "hard" and "soft".  The pictures are taken from many EA releases, not Tickled Pink.  It is nice that the viewer can choose which trailer to view without viewing them all.  I could tell that a lot of care was put into the excellent menu design of the disc. 

Also, that the disc itself is very attractive.  The label side features a full color silkscreen with several good photos  taken from the front cover.    

CONCLUSION

Tickled Pink has a strange appeal to it.  I did enjoy watching the girls getting tickled more than I imagined I would.  I think part of the reason is because it presents the girls in a light hearted way having fun.  Sometimes it is very refreshing to view an adult movie where the girls look like they are having fun.  It is a strange contradiction that the strongest scene in this film --  from a strictly sexually point of view -- deviated from this theme.   

I'm not sure if this is a one shot deal or not, but if there are more episodes, I might enjoy seeing one that maintains a happy go lucky attitude all the way through without any dark themes.  Also, I think more tickling could easily been included, especially given the relatively short running time here.  If I was a guy really into the tickle aspect, I think I would have expected more pure tickle content.  For some reason, the editing here seems very heavy handed -- not just with tickling, but with some sex sequences too.  The running time on many scenes was unusually short.

I had trouble identifying the girl in Scene 3.  Den says it is "Pinky" and Patrick Riley says it is "Kelly".  I sort of thought it was Kitty Marie judging from the box!  However, both Den & Riley IDed Kitty in the last scene so that was not correct.  I went with Den's choice since he watches so many movies and Patrick Riley missed T.T. boy when he screened this video.
